Your Lowest Handicap Index within the past 12 months of May 1, 2018 to May 1, 2019 will be used for the Tournament. Maximum stroke difference between partners is 10 strokes. Any teams exceeding that differential, the higher handicapped player will be reduced to meet that requirement. Maximum Index is 24.0.
Thursday, May 16th
Horse Race (Optional) – 4:00pm Start
- Entry Fee - $10/person will be billed to each participant’s account. Teams will be posted on May 16 by 12:00pm.
- Pari-Mutuel Wagering on the Teams will be available from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. $5.00 Units.
- 3-Man Teams formed by handicap.
- Alternate Shot format with each player on the team assigned as an A, B, or C Player.
- Teams will be split into (2) Groups: Group 1 will play Holes 1, 2, & 3. Group 2 will play Holes 3, 4 & 5
- (2) Teams from each Group (4 Total Teams) will play Hole #6 as the Final Hole to determine Win-Place-Show.
Special Event Auction – 6:45pm Start
- 70 Total Teams in the Field - 14 TEAMS WILL BE AUCTIONED OFF.
- Each Team will consist of (5) teams from the Field. Teams will be posted on May 14.
- Teams are formed evenly by Combined Course Handicap.
- Scoring for each Auction Team – Best 3 net team scores, of each day, count toward the overall score.
- All winning bids must be paid at the end of the Auction on Thursday Night or before teeing off on Friday.
- Payout: 1st Place: 40% of pool 2nd Place: 30% 3rd Place: 20% 4th Place: 10%
- Payouts are to the Team Owner on Saturday Evening.
- Individuals are allowed to buy 5% of their own action for 10% of sale price (if they have not purchased their own team). Must buy before teeing off on Friday. Pay the Owner or to the Pro Shop of which they will deliver to the Team Owner. Pro Shop is not held liable for any problems.
Round 1 – Friday, May 17th
Pairings are determined by Handicap
Holes 1 thru 9 – Best Ball
Each player will play his own ball throughout. The team will record the better gross and net scores. Net scores will be calculated on a hole-by-hole basis, with applicable strokes falling where they would normally fall. (Dots will be marked on the scorecard.)
The scores to count must be INDIVIDUALLY identifiable on the scorecard.
Holes 10 thru 18 – Chapman
Each player will hit the tee shot, then switch, with each player playing their partner's tee shot. After each player has hit two (2) shots, the team will then select the better ball, which would then be played out, with the players alternating shots until the ball is holed out. Once the better ball is selected, the player who did not hit the ball to its then position will play the next shot. Alternate play will follow until the hole is completed.
Scoring: Teams will record the gross score on the scorecard. The 9 Hole Team Handicap is configured by taking 60% of the low handicapped player and 40% of the high handicapped player of the team. Each number is rounded to the nearest whole number and added to together. The resultant team handicap will be dotted on the scorecard.
Round 2 - Saturday, May 18th
Pairings are determined by Score – Will be posted by 6:30pm on Friday, May 17th.
The 10 Scores from each Flight will play in the 1:30pm Shotgun (40 Teams)
Flight 1 – 4 to 2 Net & 6 to 8 Gross Scores - Flight 2, 3 & 4 – Net Scores
The Higher 8 Scores from each Flight will play in the 8:30am Shotgun (30 Teams)
Holes 1 thru 9 – Shamble Combined Ball
Both team members will tee off. Select the best drive. Both team members will play their own ball from the 2nd shot on until the ball is hole out. Each team member must use a minimum of three tee shots. The tee shot that is chosen must be played within (1) club length and it must be played in the same cut of grass or bunker.
Scoring: Combined Ball; Gross & Net. Teams must record each player’s Gross Score on the Scorecard.
The Gross Scores to count must be INDVIDUALLY identifiable on the scorecard.
Add the (2) player’s scores together and record on the scorecard - Gross and Net score within each appropriate row. Net scores will be calculated on a hole-by-hole basis, with applicable strokes falling where they would normally fall. (Dots will be marked on the scorecard.)

TOURNAMENT RULES
- Play from the Blue Tees
- SUMMER RULES ARE IN EFFECT FOR ROUND 2. USGA Rules of Golf will apply – including holing all putts that will be used for the team score. Official Scorecards must be exchanged with your fellow competitors. All scorecards must be signed and attested.
- LIVE SCORING WILL BE ACTIVE FOR BOTH ROUNDS.
- Per USGA Rule 23.2b – Scoring in Four Ball Stroke Play
- The gross score of at least one partner must be entered on the scorecard for the Best Ball Format.
- Both gross scores must be entered on the scorecard for the Shamble Combined Ball.
- Each score on the scorecard must be clearly identified as the score of the individual partner who made it; if this is not done, the side is disqualified.
- The Committee is responsible for recording and checking the Best Ball and Combined Ball for each hole. Any interpretation or decisions required relating to any issue will be at the sole discretion of the Tournament Committee.
- Any Ties for Overall Gross or Overall Net will be determined by a Sudden Death Playoff upon completion of play on Saturday evening. The Playoff will begin on Hole 10 with the Best Ball Format and will play holes in succession until a winner is determined. For the Net Playoff, the Players on each Team will receive strokes on the same holes as stated on their scorecard during Round 2.
